This charming hotel is a true hidden gem nestled in the heart of the Norwegian mountains. From the stunning historic interiors to the warm local welcome drink upon arrival, every detail here exudes coziness and character. We enjoyed exploring the marked trails with snowshoes, offering breathtaking views over the valley and the wildest spots of river Sjoa. The housekeeping was impeccable, ensuring our stay was always comfortable and relaxing.The ski equipment hire made our outdoor adventures seamless, and the tours assistance provided us with fantastic insights into the local culture and landscapes. We even had the pleasure of attending a beer and aquavit pairing session, led by the knowledgeable Beer-sommelier Karola and farm destillator Erik Sve Bjørndal. It was a delightful experience tasting the unique combinations they curated.The mountain spa, constructed with timber from a centuries-old barn, was a serene oasis after a day of hiking. The views from the terrace were simply breathtaking, offering a perfect spot to unwind and soak in the natural beauty surrounding us. This is the ideal base for those seeking tranquility and outdoor exploration in the stunning Jotunheimen region. Can't wait to return and experience more of what Hindsæter has to offer!
